Hosting a radio show is the latest in a series of jobs Sheryl Lynn never thought she’d have. After a successful career as a calligraphic artist, traveling instructor and lecturer on creativity, a near-death experience followed by an abrupt spiritual awakening stopped her life as it was. She credits her years of creating art as critical to her opening to spirituality; artists learn that the blank page is anything but blank, containing all the answers if one only discerns where to look. Her quest for personal healing led her to train to help others as a color therapist, a natural health consultant, an energy therapist, a spiritual coach, a certified medium, and ordained minister. The transformational years she spent with her master teacher and soulmate dog, Chelsea, led her to write Nine Roses for Chelsea; a spiritual journey, and to offer writings, lectures and seminars on animal communication, how to make peace with the deaths of beloved companion animals and thoughts on the soul purpose of animals. After her mother fell in late 2006, she put her healing practice aside to become a full-time caregiver; the resultant compassion fatigue caused her to look for work that allowed her to creatively express what she’d learned and still be in service to herself and others. Voila! Radio host! She expects her latest book, a compilation of spiritual growth stories brought on by the effects of her mother’s fall, to be published in 2010. What’s next? Stay tuned….
